Gary is the founder of KRAA Security LLC and Razient LLC with over 20 years experience in the information security and technology industry. KRAA Security was founded in 2007 to address the security needs of companies in all industries through a combination of Risk Assessment Services, Social Media Security and Government Compliance Services. Gary was the cofounder and CIO of Foundstone Inc a $20M security vulnerability that was sold to McAfee in 2004.
Gary was a Managing Director at Ankura Consulting where he oversaw the Cybersecurity practice, providing multiple services to clients in all industries.
He was a Senior Vice President of Bank of America in 2007, Gary redesigned the Global Threat Management Lifecycle strategy and Risk Forecasting strategy. Gary was also the President and cofounder of Ether2 Corporation, a Manager at Ernst & Young where he developed security practices, and a Senior Security Consultant at Price Waterhouse.
Gary is an accomplished author. He has published 3 books, “Privacy Defended: Protecting Yourself Online”, Que Publishing, “Windows XP Professional Security”, Osborne McGraw-Hill, “Securing the Clicks” fourth coming Q4 2011 from McGraw-Hill.
Gary has written articles for magazines including Silicon India, In Focus Magazine, SysAdmin, Login, and Information Security Magazine. He speaks frequently at conferences such as University of Miami Global Business Forum, DAMA South Florida, Miami, Florida Bankers Association, Hacker Halted, Vanguard Security Conference, MIS Institute , Institute of Internal Auditors, ISACA Conference, ISSA, Illinois CPA Society, Army Reserve Information Assurance, National Security Conference. Singapore, Networld+Interop, and CERT Conference.
